This project consisted of the construction of a new 1873m2 extension to an existing warehouse in Bury
The scope of the works were steel frame including strengthening to existing columns to take the forces of the new extension, insulated roof and wall cladding, automatic smoke vents, contractor designed mechanical and electrical services, concrete slab internally with associated concrete hardstanding externally, brickwork, intumescent decorations, roller shutter door and general landscaping works (fencing etc).
PLP offered to undertake the design of the internal concrete slab and managed to reduce the overall thickness whilst still achieving the design parameters which gave the client better value for money.
The project was a great success with the client score 10/10
