The overall project comprised the provision of a new dining hall and community rooms at Aspinall Primary School in Gorton.
To ensure that this project was delivered within a very tight deadline and ready for use when the new term starts in September 2011 we recommended the use of Insulating Concrete Formwork, a Modern Method of Construction that provides a fast track construction, higher building performance standards and lower maintenance along with two built in layers of foam insulation giving superior energy performance that translates into lower energy bills.
During our time on site we also worked with the school to ensure the safety of the parents, staff and pupils whilst working along side the school buildings they occupied. We also worked on some projects with the pupils to involve them with the construction whilst we are
on site including health and safety talks and careers work with Year 5 and 6.
Client Satisfaction Score: 9.5/10
“Much of the success of this project was down to the good relationships both off site but especially with the Site Manager. We are looking forward to the value added opportunities that PLP are offering to the school and hopefully a long term relationship from then on.”
